Germany wants to see S. Macedonia in the EU as soon as possible, Steinmeier told Kovacevski

The Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski today, the Government welcomed the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. According to the government announcement, at the meeting they expressed "mutual satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries", which next year will mark their 30th anniversary, as well as with the strong support that North Macedonia receives from the Federal Republic of Germany for Euro-Atlantic integration.

- President Steinmeier stated that Germany wants to see North Macedonia in the European Union as soon as possible. The determination to implement reforms is crucial to preserve democracy and European values. At the meeting, it was jointly established that all the support and efforts invested by the two countries, including the upcoming constitutional amendments, are in the direction of securing a European future for the citizens, the government press service announced.

As part of the visit of President Steinmeier, a bilateral meeting of the two delegations was held in the Government. On behalf of the government delegation, the First Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi, the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Maricic, the Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojchevska and the Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi were present.
