Germany: Putin wants to break the backbone of Ukrainian society
The Russian missile attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure "are a brutal collapse of civilization", the head of German diplomacy said today in Bucharest. Annalen Bayerbock.
The attacks are "the most brutal violation of international law imaginable," Baerbock said.
"When infrastructure is deliberately bombed, then you willingly accept children, old people and families freezing to death, dying of thirst and hunger," she added.
The Russian president Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin wants to break the backbone of Ukrainian society, Baerbock said, pledging continued support for Ukraine.
The head of German diplomacy is participating in a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Bucharest, who will discuss how to strengthen joint support for Ukraine in view of the coming winter and the intensification of Russian attacks.
