German authorities plan to tighten measures for the unvaccinated, which will drastically restrict contact and access to shops and cultural and sports competitions, and prepare for the introduction of a general obligation for vaccination against coronavirus, German media reported today.

Access to shops at the federal level should be limited to those who have not been vaccinated or who have not contracted the virus, and the same applies to cultural and sporting events, according to a decision by federal and state authorities.

These restrictions do not apply to grocery stores and pharmacies.

The number of visitors to mass events should be limited to 30 percent of the space capacity, but should not exceed 15.000.

In the unvaccinated, contact in a private environment should also be limited. Thus, members of one family can meet up to two members of another household if they have not been vaccinated or have had a coronavirus.

Several questions have been raised about the local closure of clubs and discos at a time when the seven-day incidence exceeds 350.

The draft decisions of the federal and state authorities also state the goal of implementing 30 million vaccinations, which include the first, second and so on. booster vaccination by Christmas.

The Robert Koch State Epidemiological Institute today announced 73.209 new coronavirus infections.
