The candidate for mayor of Ohrid Konstantin Georgieski at today's press conference said that his opponent Kiril Pecakov finally dared and acknowledged that "his plan is to take Ohrid back to the past and that he will be a servant of the personal and business interests of individuals."

- He clearly stated that he plans to annul all our previous commitments, great commitment, fulfillment of recommendations and respect for the laws, due to which Ohrid preserves its UNESCO status. Pecakov together with the criminal VMRO-DPMNE intends to re-issue under concession the most attractive and most protected part of the shore of our Ohrid Lake. I can not believe that his plan is to put the beaches back in the hands of business structures and to restore the concept of coastal management that has caused enormous damage to the world natural and cultural heritage that this region has. I do not understand how Pecakov as a former councilor, MP and candidate for mayor who wants to run a city like Ohrid, shows total ignorance of the laws, has not read the World Natural and Cultural Heritage Management Plan and his recommendations are not important by UNESCO. I can not believe that for small political points, for inclination and political agitation, he has already concluded unprincipled agreements, to satisfy the appetites of a certain business community and is scattering unfulfilled promises. "I can not believe that he is trampling on nature and all legal norms, that he wants to take the beaches from the citizens again and return them to the hands of profiteers," said Georgievski.

SDSM candidate Georgievski addressed his fellow citizens and asked in Sunday's elections not to allow Ohrid to return to the hands of predecessors who with unplanned concessions on the coast and various unrealistic plans caused great damage to tourism.

- Dear citizens of Ohrid, their masks have fallen, their lies and manipulations have failed, the real face of VMRO-DPMNE and their offer for Ohrid has come to light! Let us not allow frivolous politicians, full of hatred and despair, to take Ohrid in an unknown direction again. Let us not allow Ohrid to fall into the hands of people who have the capacity only to act in videos that desecrate our Ohrid. Let us not allow Ohrid to belong to Gruevski's students, who had plans to sell the coast to white-collar criminals from India, who planned to build railings around the lake, bring sea sand to the beaches and who, with unplanned concessions on the coast, caused great damage of Ohrid tourism, said Georgievski.

He stressed that the fight for Ohrid is real, because SDSM is very different from VMRO-DPMNE, and they make courageous decisions and show in action how they care for Ohrid.

-Unlike them, we have shown a clear position and plan on the issue of preservation and arrangement of the shore of Lake Ohrid. We do not offer unrealistic promises, we are developing a serious concept with which the municipality will arrange and manage the beaches, which will be public and accessible to all. Our idea is for Ohrid to finally get tidy city beaches according to all modern trends and environmental recommendations. Sunday is the day of your right choice. On Sunday, the fate of Ohrid is in your hands. On Sunday we choose whether Ohrid will continue with the started development or will return to uncertainty and destruction. I am looking for your trust because I have shown in action that for me Ohrid and its future is above all interests! Ohrid is my choice and the biggest priority. On Sunday, let's circle the number 12 and choose the best for Ohrid! said Georgievski.
