Gebrejesus: I expect Guinea to declare end to Ebola epidemic

The director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adanom Gebrejesus said today that he expects the Guinean government to declare an end to the Ebola epidemic tomorrow.

"Thanks to the lessons we have learned from the epidemic, new means, including vaccines, Guinea has been able to combat the epidemic in just four months and prevent the spread of Ebola in neighboring countries." pointed out Gebrejesus.

He told a news conference that about 11.000 people had been vaccinated against Ebola.
