The Russian energy giant Gazprom has set a new record in the delivery of gas to China through the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, the Russian company announced today.

The record was achieved on November 25, according to Gazpom's press release, TASS reports.

"On November 25, the nomination of the Chinese side for deliveries of Russian gas through the pipeline "Strength of Siberia" was again above the daily contractual obligations. "Gazprom delivered all the requested quantities and set a new historical record of daily deliveries in China," added Gazprom's statement.

Gas deliveries to Beijing are made within the framework of the long-term bilateral gas purchase and sale agreement between Gazprom and the Chinese company CNPC.
