Last night, during the performance of the play "Player Kings" at London's Noel Coward Theatre, the 85-year-old actor Sir Ian McKellen had an accident on stage that resulted in hospitalization.

McKellen, known for his role as Gandalf in the movie saga "The Lord of the Rings" (The Lord of the Rings), is currently portraying the character of John Falstaff in this play.

The details of McKellen's fall are still unclear, but the incident is said to have occurred during a fight scene, when the actor fell off the stage.

When the lights in the auditorium came on, the actor cried out in pain, and the theater staff quickly rushed to his aid.
One viewer told the BBC the incident was "very shocking".

- I sincerely hope that it will be good. As far as I could see, he was conscious because he was asking for help - said the viewer.

After McKellen's fall, the show was canceled and the audience was forced to leave the theater. This accident left those present in shock, and the actor's safety and well-being are now the focus of all competent institutions.
