All 2.000 doses of seasonal flu vaccines that cost 800 denars each were consumed within a few hours after the vaccination in the Center for Public Health Skopje started, the director of the Center for Public Health Skopje, Aleksandar Stojanov, told MIA, saying that they are waiting to receive another 2000 vaccines that have not yet been delivered.

Regarding when they expect to receive those 2000 vaccines, he said it depends on the distributor Elbior. These vaccines apply only to Skopje, as they are procured through the Center for Public Health Skopje.

Eighty percent of the categories of citizens who were supposed to receive the vaccines for free, came to us and spent them. The reason is that in "MojTermin" this week their term is filled and people do not want to wait, they want to pay and finish work faster. People are scared and want to protect their health. There are low doses for both risk and non-risk groups. It has it all over the world. Belgium spent them in one day. Last year we threw away 610 flu vaccines, there was no one to give them to, emphasizes Dr. Stojanov.

He emphasized that this year there is a lack of masks, gloves, vaccines, there is a shortage of everything and that it is like that all over the world, not only in our country.

- We could get 4000 vaccines this year. We could not do more. It does not depend only on us. The factories have limited capacity, added Dr. Stojanov.
