Several thousand people took part in today's rally against the French proposal, which is part of protests organized by the opposition, which took place for the third day in a row. The protest passed in a tense atmosphere, and was on the verge of escalating into greater violence when some of the protesters broke through the protective fence in front of the Government and suppressed the police cordon, while throwing bottles, eggs and stones at the police and the government building.
Part of the crowd then moved in front of the Assembly, where they also pushed the protective fence and threw eggs, but also sang patriotic songs, shouted "Resignation" and insulting slogans for the president and the prime minister.
Some of the media also published pictures of people with phantoms at the protest.
