The football player of Borussia Dortmund, Nico Schulz, is under investigation by the German police for domestic violence, following the lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, the German club announced today.

The club added that immediately after learning about the investigation, they spoke with the footballer, who denies the accusations.
- The accusations, which Borussia Dortmund did not know about until the publication of the article in the media, are difficult and shocking for our club - reads the announcement of Borussia Dortmund.

However, the management of the "millionaires" decided not to initiate disciplinary action against Schultz because the investigation is in the initial stage, and the evidence presented is very confusing. If charged with domestic violence, Schultz faces up to 10 years in prison.

Schultz has been wearing the shirt of Borussia Dortmund since 2019, and has played 12 games for the German national team.
