"According to the rulebook and the decisions of the Central Board of SDSM, today I handed over all the documents for self-candidacy for president of the party. "I expect that after the candidates for that position are determined, the activities for promotion and presentation of the candidates for president of SDSM will begin," said the former vice president of SDSM Frosina Remenski.

She stated that the goal and motive for her self-candidacy for party president are the current socio-political and party activities that she had at a time when SDSM made difficult decisions.

Remenski stated that there is symbolism in her candidacy because she submitted it during the 16-day women's activism against violence against women.

- I want to be an example through the candidacy and to encourage all women who are or are not in office not to give up their dreams and continue to fight no matter what and I encourage the Social Democrats to support my candidacy, said Remenski and He added that he expects SDSM to use this period for real consolidation of the party and that let its vision be a winning SDSM.

When asked by a journalist that there is already a favorite for party president, Deputy Minister of Finance Dimitar Kovacevski, she said that it is understandable that Kovacevski as a member of the Government has the support, but does not think that this fight would be based on opposing ideas but a fight of minds.
