The French proposal published on the website of the Government
It has been published on the government website today the French proposal for the removal of the Bulgarian veto and for the start of the negotiations for the membership of the Republic of North Macedonia in the European Union.
The French proposal in its integral form was published immediately after the Prime Minister's meeting Dimitar Kovacevski with the leaders of the parties from the government coalition.
Kovachevski announced that a broad consultation process will be opened, which will take place transparently, and the public will be informed in detail about all the next steps.
"With the government coalition, today we are discussing the European proposal related to the European integration processes of the Republic of North Macedonia, which arrived at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday, and the consultation process that follows. We will take any decision related to the proposal jointly and through a broad consultative process," Kovacevski wrote on Facebook.
During the day, in addition to the meeting with the coalition, a series of consultations and conversations will be held with the expert and professional public, as well as the media.
The Prime Minister called for responsibility from all relevant stakeholders in society, because, as he emphasized, speculations about important state and national issues do not benefit anyone, Kovacevski states.
Kovachevski appeals to all political actors and the media to rely on official information from the institutions and asked for constructiveness and support from all stakeholders in order to make a wise decision in the interest of all citizens.
