A rare pink diamond called "Eternal Pink" (Eternal Pink) it will be auctioned in June in New York.

The diamond will be auctioned by Sotheby's during the Magnificent Jewels auction, and its value is estimated at $ 35 million.

It's about 10,57 carat diamond, which is considered the most valuable purple-pink diamond ever to appear at auction.

"Its refined lines combined with the intensity of its color make it one of the most unusual gemstones in the world," said Tom Moses, executive vice president and chief laboratory and research officer at the Gemological Institute of America.

The diamond was found in Botswana and is special because of its clarity and lack of imperfections.

Pink diamonds are among the rarest and most sought after in the world. A record price paid for one of them is $ 71,2 million, and that amount was allocated in 2017 for the diamond "CTF Pink Star" (CTF Pink Star).

The highest price per carat was achieved by the diamond "Williamson Pink Star" (Williamson Pink Star) in 2022, which was sold for $ 57,7 million. Almost $5,2 million per carat was paid.
