PHOTO | A real surprise: Rihanna will perform at halftime of the Super Bowl
The National League in American Rugby – NFL announced that Rihanna will perform at halftime of the next Super Bowl in 2023. The singer, whose fans have been waiting for her next album for years, posted a pictorially-symbolic photo of a hand holding a rugby ball on Instagram a few minutes earlier.
As a reminder, Rihanna was invited to perform at the 2019 halftime show, but declined in support of Colin Kaepernick, who faced backlash for kneeling during the national anthem, protesting police brutality against African-Americans.

Rihanna's halftime performance will be her first major performance since 2018. She hasn't released a new album since 'ANTI' in 2016, and has dabbled in fashion, makeup and lingerie in the meantime.
The next Super Bowl will be played on February 12, 2023 at State Farm Stadium.
Last year, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and surprise guest Fifty Cent they made a real spectacle on stage, so Rihanna has a real challenge ahead of her.
