PHOTO + VIDEO | A multimedia event in honor of all artists in the fight against fascism
A few days ago, in the yard of the Ministry of Culture, an impressive event took place in honor of the 80th anniversary of the first shot - the Day of the National Uprising of the Macedonian people, reports SDK.
The multimedia program was enriched with some of the actors from, as the Minister of Culture Irena Stefoska said, "the unique and instructive Macedonian film 'Shot' - a film inspired by real events during the Bulgarian fascist occupation.
"The eightieth anniversary of the first shot of freedom is an act of deep respect and reverence. Resistance worthy of unforgettable. This is the least that the Ministry of Culture can do in memory of those who created it with a rifle, and then kept the national culture alive, and thus, kept us all alive. Deep homage and respect for all poets, writers, painters, actors, musicians. To all the artists who joined the People's Liberation and anti-fascist struggle and wrote, each through his signature, the pain and the rage and the joy and the grandeur of the partisan odyssey. With us tonight are some of the heirs of those great people, anti-fascists, who knew how important disobedience and freedom are in the battle and in the recovery of the homeland. The word is a shot, but the shot is a word, "said the minister, who is a professor at the Institute of National History at the University" St. Cyril and Methodius "in Skopje.
FDA students in the class of Professor Zoja Buzalkovska performed a mini-play with excerpts from the ASNOM Manifesto in several languages, and "revived" the song about Steve Naumov by Senka Veletanlic and Zafir Hadzimanov.
The writer and professor Kalina Maleska - granddaughter of the prominent Macedonian writer, socio-political worker, publisher and revolutionary, author of the screenplay of the first Macedonian film "Frosina", author of the text of the Macedonian anthem, Vlado Maleski - told less known facts about how and where the song "Today over Macedonia" was composed.
The audience was attended by many cultural figures, film lovers, but also some of the actors who were part of "Shot".
"Macedonian culture is much bigger than our country and the duration of our lives. "The jubilees are here - to remind us that history is taught so that it is not forgotten, so that it is never repeated," said Minister Stefoska.
