American singer and actress Selena Gomez announced on social media about the situation with Haley Bieber and the negative discourse that takes place on the TikTok platform, where their fans compare the two famous ladies.

Namely, Gomez posted a story on Instagram, where she shared that Bieber contacted her and told her that she was receiving death threats in the midst of all the TikTok drama, where Bieber was called a "mean girl" for not being kind to Gomez and humiliating her on social media.

"Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and hateful messages. This is not what I stand for. No one should experience hatred or harassment. "I've always stood for kindness and I really want this to stop," Gomez wrote on Instagram.

Gomez also followed Bieber on Instagram to show her support.

This isn't Gomez's first attempt to get her fans to stop insulting Bieber, but this is her first direct address to her. Earlier this month, she thanked her fans for their support and added: “Please be kinder and consider the mental health of others. I wish only the best for everyone. Sending you love."

As a reminder, Selena Gomez was in a romantic relationship with Justin Bieber from 2011 to 2018, with multiple breaks over the years. Justin Bieber proposed to Heidi Bieber (then Baldwin) in July 2018, and they married in September 2019.
