In Shtip, a large number of citizens gathered today to pay tribute to those who tragically died in the terrible fire in Kocani. Participants carried banners, flowers, candles and balloons, as well as pictures of the five young people from Shtip who lost their lives in the Kocani tragedy.
The largest banner, at the head of the procession, read: "You have lit the flame, prepare for fire."

One of the deceased, football player Damjan Taneski, was supposed to celebrate his 19th birthday today, it was said at the gathering.

Dame's friends released 19 white balloons for his birthday. Then, when the people from the gathering arrived at the square, they turned off the lights for 10 minutes, and as soon as they were turned back on, black balloons were released and white roses were thrown.
