After a thirteen-day fight with the fiery element, the fire on Mount Serta was completely extinguished on Wednesday. For two weeks, the state services and the population dealt with the fires that engulfed the country, and the largest was the one on Mount Serta.
Due to the severity of the fire, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey and Romania sent aircraft to help put out the fires.
There are currently two active fires, near the village of Taževo, where a pine forest is burning, and near the village of Matejche, where a low-stemmed forest is burning.
