PHOTO | In the footsteps of mom: "My mother is to blame for that!", Says Sonja Tarculovska's daughter
The daughter of the folk singer Sonja Tarculovska, Melanie started her music career.
At this year's 28th edition of the famous international music festival Ohrid Fest - Ohrid Troubadours, which was held from 10-11.09, Melani Tarculovska won the prestigious award Dolni Saraj.
Young but mature enough, Melanie stood in front of the cameras for the first time and showed that even at this age great professionalism in music can be achieved.
This year he shone on the stage of Ohrid Fest with the song "A Ti". How was this ballad created?
- This ballad is completely mine, both the lyrics and the music. I wrote the lyrics a year ago, I was waiting for the right moment to come to hear this song. Together with Ile Spasov we finished it completely, we are both satisfied with how "A Ti" came to perfection in the end. After this we are ready for new songs and projects, you just have to wait for me.
How did it go, how did you prepare for the performance on a different, serious festival stage?
- I was preparing a lot, but I still step on a respected festival stage. However, I think that there should always be such a refreshment at every festival and to show something new and different. I think I did a very good job, I am personally satisfied.
Melanie, your love for music is an innate desire. When did you decide to take music seriously, including your education?
- From a very young age I knew that music is my love. Although I tried many hobbies, I did not know how to express that love for singing, it smoldered in me and my mother simply discovered my desire to sing.
He represented Macedonia at "Golden Voice 2020"…
- Yes, last year. I applied and represented Macedonia. I introduced myself with the song When I Was Your Man - Bruno Mars and won second place out of 30 participants.
I will also mention the performance in Turkey, Antalya where a Macedonian girl sang it in front of 3000 audiences…
- My mother is to blame for that…
