Early this morning, the tragic news echoed that the famous Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin on the set during the filming, killed the director of photography, Halina Hutchins, who was working on a number of films, foreign media reported.

Alec Baldwin fired a replica gun at a New Mexico movie set, shooting Halina Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza, local officials said.

According to authorities, Hutchins was airlifted to the University of New Mexico Hospital and pronounced dead, while Souza, who was taken by ambulance to the Christos St. Vincent Regional Center, was treated for injuries.

Halina Hutchins died from a gunshot wound she sustained while filming "Rust" at the age of 42. She was born in Ukraine and grew up on a Soviet military base. She studied at Kiev National University and graduated in international journalism. She worked as an investigative journalist.

The team has been filming the movie in New Mexico for the past few days, and Hutchins shared videos and photos from the shooting on his Instagram profile. In the latest video posted on this platform, she rides horses with the film crew.
