The artist Goran Ristovski painted a mural with motifs from the work of the prominent writer and socio-political worker, Vlado Maleski on the facade on the south side of the cultural center "Braka Miladinovci" in Struga.
On an area of 13 meters long and seven meters high, the composition, as the author explained, is composed of the famous "Struga embroidery" symbolizing Maleski's most famous novel, "Loom", his portrait and part of the text of the anthem "Today over Macedonia" .
- I decided to dedicate it to the character and work of Vlado Maleski 1919-1984, a prominent writer and socio-political worker. The work was painted with permission from the Cultural Center in Struga, with which I have excellent cooperation whenever it comes to such projects, said Ristovski.
The mural, he added, was painted on the occasion of 30 years of state independence and is part of the project "Building culture, painting culture - murals for 30 years of independence", which is realized in seven cities across the country.
- The theme of the mural is the activity and works of prominent domestic actors and authors in the field of creativity, culture, art, literature, music, education, sports and other prominent personalities, who have a direct contribution to the development of the country, or contributed to the creation or the preservation of cultural heritage, says Ristovski.
