PHOTO | Bitola's chamber orchestra revived the greatest "MTV" hits of the 80s and 90s

At the National Opera and Ballet in Skopje, the Chamber Orchestra of Bitola, yesterday evening held a spectacular concert with evergreens, named "MTV 80's & 90's The Greatest Hits!".

We all remember the days when MTV was a window to a new and endless world of music and emotion. In those times, every chord, every verse carried a particle of the youth and energy that marked those decades.

Considering the importance of the music of that period, the Bitola Chamber Orchestra prepared the spectacular project "MTV 80's & 90's The Greatest Hits!", which was performed for the first time at the Culture Center - – Bitola on September 14, 2023, and the tickets for the concert were sold out in just three hours.

The wonderful sounds of the biggest hits from the 80s and 90s came alive on the stage thanks to the Chamber Orchestra of Bitola, conveying the magic of those times. The MTV 80's & 90's wasn't just a musical period – it was an era that defined the future.

After the amazing concert, which was held in the full hall at the Culture Center - Bitola, the Chamber Orchestra of Bitola decided to let the Skopje audience enjoy their performances this time.

With over 100 participants, including 10 performers (domestic and foreign), a full orchestra, a pop rock choir and ballet dancers from the National Opera and Ballet, attendees had the opportunity to enjoy the greatest hits of the timeless Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Cher, Aerosmith, Ricky Martin, Alana Miles, Chaka Khan, Madonna and many more.

The Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojchevska, together with the other attendees, enjoyed the sounds of timeless hits.

"I am always overjoyed when cultural events take place in the country, and I am especially pleased by the interest of our citizens in what our performers have to show." And this concert is a confirmation of the quality of our artists and the nurturing of culture on our soil. I hope that in the future, as before, the Chamber Orchestra of Bitola will experience huge successes in the country, but also outside the borders", stressed Kostadinovska-Stojchevska, after the end of the concert.
