In mid-May, the government adopted the Information regarding the need to put stickers with the "NMK" mark on the license plates, at the proposal of the Ministry of the Interior, and according to Minister Oliver Spasovski, this means that "additional financial costs for issuing more new documents will be avoided /licenses/certificates, which are related to the number of the license plate, and at the same time the obligation for the marking of the new code of the Republic of North Macedonia is fully respected".

Both citizens and transporters welcomed the Government's decision, which will save them both time and money. The EC and other countries should be informed about the decision that this is an official government decision so that there are no problems when crossing the borders. This solution will save the citizens 1.600 denars, and the transporters will reduce the cost from 5 to 10.000 euros.
