Lee Curtis watched the nominations live and did not hide her surprise when she saw her name among the nominees. She posted photos on Instagram showing how she reacted to the nomination.
"This is what a surprise looks like. Debbie Oppenheimer, one of my oldest friends, texted me saying she was sitting outside my house asking if I wanted company while I watched. Debbie won an Oscar for the wonderful documentary she made – "Into The Arms Of Strangers: Stories of the Kindertransport". She came and sat with me like I sat with her the day she went to the Oscars, when she won. We held hands. I didn't even realize he was taking a picture of me. No filter. There are no lies. Just the truth about the moment of joy," the actress wrote in the description of the video she shared with fans on Instagram.
