After the leader of the far-right party "Brothers of Italy", George Maloney won the parliamentary elections in Italy, numerous public figures announced their views. However, the reaction of Damiano David, the singer of the music group "Maneskin", attracted the most attention in the Italian media.

Namely, the singer shared the front page of the Italian daily "Republika", on which is written the news about the victory of the extreme right-wing party.

"Today is a sad day for my country," the singer briefly wrote on his Instagram profile.

Then he shared the CNN article, whose title reads: "Giorgia Meloni will be the most right-wing Italian prime minister since Benito Mussolini."

Although he is very young and only 23 years old, Damiano David is a public figure who has no problem expressing his political opinion. During the performance at the Coachella music festival, the singer openly condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine and cursed the Russian president Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

He and his longtime girlfriend, the 26-year-old model George Soleri are also very active in the fight for gender equality.

“What a painful awakening. Worse than any chronic disease," Soleri commented on Instagram.
