Formula 1: Lando Norris first in qualifying for the Brazilian GP
McLaren driver Lando Norris, took pole position ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix, the 21st edition of this year's Formula 1 championship, which takes place just over three hours after qualifying. The Brazilian Grand Prix is scheduled from 16:30 p.m.
Norris reached the best starting position with a lap of 1:23.405 minutes, a tenth and a half ahead of George Russell in McLaren. Next up was Team RB's Yuki Tsunoda, whose team-mate Liam Lawson will be fourth at the start.
The leader in the general classification, Max Verstappen, had even 12th time and due to the engine change, he will start from 17th position. Before the final four races of the season, the Dutchman has a 44-point lead over Norris.
Interlagos qualifying was scheduled for Saturday at 14:17,5 local time, but due to weather conditions, it started XNUMX hours later.
This is the sixth time in history that we have both qualifying and a race on the same day in Formula 1, and the last time such a case was in Japan in 2019.
