Von der Leyen: Bulgaria and North Macedonia are close to an agreement
The good news for today is that Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia, with the support of France, are close to an agreement that takes into account the interests and concerns of both sides.
The president of the European Commission wrote this on Twitter a while ago Ursula von der Layen in connection with the new French proposal for the lifting of the Bulgarian veto against the start of negotiations for the official membership of Skopje in the EU.
In the announcement, she announced that she had a conversation with the Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski and that the European Commission is ready to start the screening process for Macedonia and Albania, which is the next step on their European path.
Good phone call with PM @DKovachevski
