After returning to Skopje, FC Shkupi celebrated with the fans, welcomed by the faithful "Smugglers". On the occasion of the unfortunate events in Tetovo, the team from Cair announced itself through its official Facebook profile:

A shameful and serious football event was noticed at the match played last night. We do not feel any anger towards the fans as a result of the events that happened last night. Our anger is directed at the managerial mentality, which led the fans to this bad event. This kind of mentality must make it clear that if they want an enemy, they can find no worse enemy than us. If they want, ok, it suits us. But is that okay?

The view is clear that such a thing is wrong and should not be. The best feature of sports is unity, including brotherhood and peace. Thanks to the reasonable action of our players and the technical staff, last night's match was played to the end. During the events, the management team informed the players and the technical staff that they could withdraw from the field if they wished.

However, the players and the professional staff showed great character and said that at this stage they are not afraid of anyone, that they have come to play football and that they will play football. We want to thank our players and the technical staff for their attitude and fair thinking. We will never be a tool in this chaotic environment imposed by a dangerous mentality. We will never use football as a tool for this. The ambitions and incompetence of certain individuals will not be enough to create division among the brothers.

Let them know that we will never let a brother hurt his brother. We express our gratitude to our fans. It was a wonderful sight to welcome the great players of the great team with enthusiasm by the great fans and our fans hugged their team. We are even bigger with our fans. Size is not measured in money.
