Financial aid of 1,5 billion euros for Ukraine announced at a donor conference

A group of 26 countries pledged 1,5 billion euros in aid to strengthen Ukraine's defense military capabilities in the war against Russia, the Danish defense minister said today. Morten Bodskov who is participating in the donor conference held in Copenhagen.

Previously, the Ukrainian Minister of Finance Sergey Marchenko announced that Ukraine will receive $4,5 billion in US aid by September, three billion this month and another $1,5 billion in September.

The funds will be used for "critically important payments," including health care payments and pensions, Marchenko said. He specified that the money they are expecting in Kyiv is part of the $7,5 billion financial aid package that the United States and Ukraine agreed on at the beginning of the summer.
