Filipce - Le Rigoller: The European integration process must continue, North Macedonia deserves to be part of the EU
The president of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia, Venko Filipce, met today with the newly appointed ambassador of the French Republic, Christophe Le Rigoller, at which, as informed by SDSM, Filipce informed the ambassador about the current and future policies of the party, as well as about the initiated reform processes to strengthen the party as the only European-oriented social democratic party.
The meeting also discussed the process for European integration of the country, with President Filipce indicating that while the Government was headed by the SDSM, all political capacity was invested in the field of good neighborly relations and acceleration of the European integration process. At the same time, he mentioned that he is concerned about the current policy of the current government in the area of European integration.
- The current government has not yet presented a clear strategy or concrete steps to continue European integration, and this is worrying. SDSM, on the other hand, demonstrates a clear vision for European progress and remains firmly committed to the path to the EU, with an emphasis on the fulfillment of the negotiation framework and key reforms, said Filipce, the announcement states.
At the meeting, Filipche and Le Rigoller discussed the bilateral relations so far, as well as the possibility of deepening the cooperation between North Macedonia and France.
