Phil Neville left Inter Miami due to poor results
The leadership of Inter Miami fired the coach Phil Neville because of bad results. On Wednesday, Inter lost to New York Red Bulls 1:0 and suffered 10 defeats in the last 13 league games.
The team from Miami is last in the table in the Eastern Conference after 15 games played.
Neville took over the team in January 2021 and helped the club reach the MLS Cup playoffs.
- Sometimes in this sport we have to make the most difficult decisions. Unfortunately, we think it's time for a change. I want to thank Phil for his hard work, passion for the club and integrity - said the co-owner of Inter and former England international David Beckham, reported "Bi-bi-si".
Neville was England women's national team manager for three years when he left the team to take over at Inter Miami.
