Street fashion today has become a phenomenon, a widely accepted model of the young generation that has recently reached the scale of an epidemic. This style gained such strength that it began to seriously influence both the designers of "Pre-a-Porte" and those of Haute Couture. Street looks (especially during fashion weeks) have become as important as runways.

Throughout different periods, the style of street fashion has made a big change in the fashion industry by introducing boldness in designs, colors and patterns.

Street fashion is not a specific choice for one style of dress or one type of season, but instead encompasses a multitude of different styles, which are created by ordinary people, instead of professional fashion designers and fashion studios, because it is simple, spontaneous and without restrictions. Today's street fashion has a strong influence on the fashion industry and leads to different fashion movements in different periods and places.

We can look at street fashion as a unique fashion. It is mostly created by young people who favor it. These people mix their own styles using more fashion elements in an attempt to identify themselves away from the mainstream.

Over the past decades, the term "street fashion" has been commonly used around the world as a representative of youth fashion. It is widely accepted that street fashion springs from the youth subculture to a much greater extent than from professional designers. The reason for the widespread acceptance of street fashion by young people is because it comes from the most basic levels, thus reflecting the open interest of young people. Street style undeniably reveals that many people have developed a sense of fashion and that many fashion stars appear and promote themselves through street photography.

Of course, the young people in Skopje are no exception. So what is the impression of the street looks that are spread on our streets, we asked the fashion enthusiast Ana Chalovska from the fashion blog "Skopje is worn", where the most interesting urban characters with unique style are archived and presented to the public.

"Regardless of the circumstances and the general atmosphere," Skopje is worn "still has faith in the enthusiasm and the search for something original, which raises our spirit and that some values are still present. It tries to emphasize the individual expression and the authentic stamp of the people of Skopje, through the style, which is just a springboard for further revelation of the person and things related to the cultural life here and beyond. Encouragement is people with creative dynamics, a dose of mysticism, naturalness, freshness and rebellion, as opposed to a competition of vanity, stylistic overemphasis, tastelessness and a sterile advertising banner for fashion brands. With that, it raises the standards on our stage, because it is quality and worth emphasizing, it supports the quality and endemic stylistic expression of the city. "

"I'm glad to see young, but also older people who know how to behave, 'radiate', who tell their own story, something that is not superficial, people who stand out with their aura. Inspiration for change for the better, fresh air and salvation from the fashion routine. They represent the significance of the fashion and cultural archive of a period, especially when the city loses its urban morphology, they make up the "spirit" of Skopje. An important tool is self-reflection, to be aware of how our style illustrates us as a person, to give ourselves space to understand exactly what we want to show. "I am a supporter of honesty in style to always be in fashion, that personal and unprofessional expression," Ana told us.
