European Stories: Artconnect publishes Gilles Maro's novel "Blue is the Warmest Color"

Artconekt Publishing, as part of the European Stories of Hope project, supported by the European Union's Creative Europe, has published Gilles Maro's novel "Blue is the Warmest Color". The translation is by Filip Iliev.

With "Blue is the warmest color", Jules Maro achieved great international success and won several awards for literature and comics. It is a brilliant, sweet-bitter, strikingly illustrated graphic novel that tells the story of love between two girls. According to the book, the film of the same name, winner of the "Golden Palm" award at the Cannes Film Festival, was made.

"That's how it all started. This is how I started living in secret. Only Valentine knew. "I made up excuses to spend time with Emma," Emma's mistress, Clem, would write in her diary in the novel.

Gilles Maro is an author and illustrator from France. After graduating from the Academy of Visual Arts in Brussels, Maro devoted himself almost entirely to the art of comics and writing graphic novels.
