Here are the most expensive and cheapest cities to live in the world
Israel's largest city Tel Aviv is the most expensive in the world, according to an analysis published in the British magazine The Economist.
Tel Aviv has taken the lead from the French capital, Paris, which now shares second place with Singapore.
The three cities are followed by Zurich, Hong Kong and New York.
The cost-of-living survey conducted for this analysis covered 173 countries, and compared the prices of more than 200 products and services.
The biggest drop in the list of most expensive cities was observed in Rome. The Italian capital fell from 32nd to 48th place.
The highest gasoline prices are in Hong Kong - $ 2,5 per liter.
The cheapest is Damascus
The Syrian capital Damascus has been named the cheapest city to live in.
The analysis showed that supply chain problems, as well as anti-epidemic measures that limited production and trade, contributed to rising living costs in many cities.
Transportation costs have risen due to higher fuel prices, and tobacco and personal care products have risen significantly.

They are followed by Oslo, Seoul, Tokyo, Vienna, Sydney, Melbourne, Helsinki, London, Dublin, Frankfurt and Shanghai.
