Eva Mendes: I'm happy and I don't miss acting
American actress of Cuban origin, Eva Mendes gave up acting almost ten years ago. After a long time, she gave an interview to the magazine "Variety" in which she reveals that she does not miss acting.
Currently, she is living a happy life with her actor husband Ryan Gosling and their two daughters – Esmeralda Amada и Amada Lee.
"I just got tired of fighting for good roles. I got to a point where I thought - I will create opportunities myself and become a producer who will work on my own projects, but that didn't seem worthwhile to me either," shared the former actress.

However, Mendes believes that, currently, things are much different and that Latina girls have much better opportunities in Hollywood.
"It's true that Latina girls today have much better opportunities, but when I decided to leave acting ten years ago, directors offered me nothing but roles for Latina girls. It's exciting to see how much everything has changed, so who knows what the future holds. But for now I stay at home with my children," Mendes decided.

Mendes is still involved in various projects, but is also one of the owners of Skura Style, a kitchen cleaning company. This project is very important to her because it brings back memories of her childhood when her mother cleaned the family home.
"My mother would put on Cuban music and I would just smell the cleaning detergents. Honestly, nothing stayed clean for long, but in those few days we felt much better and were in a better mood. Then everything started for me, so I started cleaning the house myself. I have two little girls, so the sink is always full. I don't know when or how I fell in love with it, but washing dishes feels like meditation. I like to feel the soap on my hands. "I have a dishwasher, but I rarely use it," said Mendes.
