The EU praised Rama for the draft of the CPA: It is a serious and quality document

The draft text for the establishment of a community of municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo has also been sent to the European Council, which the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered it to Paris and Berlin, sources from that institution confirmed for Radio Free Europe.

Diplomatic sources who have seen the draft assessed that it is a "serious and high-quality document".

Brussels sources told RFE/RL that the text of the draft has been carefully analyzed and added that it is being treated as another contribution, similar to other drafts made by various organizations and think tanks.

Diplomats in the European Union state that it is not so important how the EU treats the draft, but what attitude Serbia and Kosovo have towards it, Beta reported.

"It is up to Pristina and Belgrade to advance towards fulfilling this obligation within the framework of the dialogue," said a European diplomat on condition of anonymity.

The prime minister of Albania, Edi Rama, announced at a press conference that on June 7, the French president Emmanuel Macron and of the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz submitted a draft for the establishment of a Community of municipalities with a Serbian majority to Kosovo and informed the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the American side.

Rama also said that he did not consult with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, about the drafting of the statute for the establishment of the ZSO.
