Block 1 in REK Bitola is disconnected from the network this morning due to interventions in the pipeline system of the plant, service and overhaul activities of the mill circuits and care of the plants in the machine room of the block, ESM informs.

ESM expects the block to be put into operation in the next 24 to 48 hours. They say that during this period the electricity needs of the consumer have been fully met by production from the rest of their capacities and there is no import of electricity.

We remind you that due to the energy crisis in which the country is and the need for continuous and increased production of electricity, overhauls and rehabilitation of the blocks are not carried out as it is usually done, with stoppages of the production process of a block for a period of 60 to 90 days . All necessary actions during this period are done when they are absolutely necessary or when there is an opportunity to do so, according to the announcement.

They add that currently Block 2 and Block 3 are working without a problem, and overhaul activities of Block 2 are planned for next week.
