Erin Heatherton said that while she was working as an Angel on "Victoria's Secret" she took weight loss pills and injected therapy for fear of losing her job with the brand.

In a new documentary research podcast called "Fallen Angel," which discusses the controversy and cultural influence of Victoria's Secret, Erin reveals how she took extreme measures to maintain her weight while working with the brand.

Erin, who was an angel between 2010 and 2013, told presenters Justin Harman and Vanessa Grigoriadis that things started to go downhill when she turned 25.

"There was a time when everything I did just didn't work out. I was just a little bigger than I should have been. In retrospect, it's just biology and how the body works. "You are not the same size when you are 18 and 25," she explained.

She added that the pressure to stay weak pushed her "over the edge". Erin began seeing a nutritionist who told her to take a diet pill called phentermine - an amphetamine-like appetite suppressant.

She goes on to explain how important it was for her not to lose her job during that period, when she was actually renovating her apartment. She began injecting herself with a hormone produced during pregnancy called human chorionic gonadotropin.

"I was like 'Help me lose weight.' What do people do? ”He suggested something that another model did that worked for her. This is this nutritionist to the stars, anyway. I do not know. As a diabetic, I started injecting myself into my stomach every morning. "I look back on how emotionally cutting I was because I was very much against everything I did, but I reluctantly did it almost to feel pain or to feel how wrong it was," Erin said.

The model will also say that she does not believe that these people really care about her, but that it is only a business.

Erin goes on to point out that although it is not about the brand and she has no further collaboration with them, she just wants to help others who are struggling with body problems.

"I share my story again because I do not want anyone to have an eating disorder or hate their body. I know what that feeling is like. "I'm just talking about people who might hear me and think, 'Hey, that makes sense,' or maybe it might change their attitude about how they treat themselves."

She believes that aspirational bodily goals can exist without diseases and eating disorders, because when you have an eating disorder, you lose your freedom. When you are limited to this form, it costs you your life.
