Erdogan: In Gaza we are witnessing a massacre like the genocide in Srebrenica
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said today that Israel will be held accountable for the crimes in the Gaza Strip, which he compared to the genocide in Srebrenica.
"Unfortunately, today in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories we are witnessing a similar massacre as was carried out in front of the eyes of the whole world in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 90s," said Erdogan at the meeting in Istanbul with the chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Beqirovic. .
Erdogan indicated that Israel would be prosecuted for the killings of more than 41.000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including Turkish activist Aysenur Ezgi Egi, who was killed in the West Bank last week.
The perpetrators of the genocide in Gaza, like those in Srebrenica in 1995, will be held accountable before international courts, Erdogan said.
Beqirovic stressed that the friendship between BiH and Turkey is unbreakable.
"The Republic of Turkey is a proven friend of BiH and one of the strongest members of NATO, and therefore, among other things, its support for BiH is extremely important," emphasized Beqirović.
