Erdogan says he will talk to Ukraine about Putin tonight
The President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan he said that he will talk with his Russian counterpart tonight Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and that the discussion will be focused on Ukraine, Anatolia reported.
Erdogan addressed a rally in Ankara, and on that occasion he spoke about the energy crisis and Ukraine.
When it comes to the energy situation, Erdogan said Turkey entered the turbulent period relatively easily with pipeline projects that guarantee security of energy supply, contracts signed, liquefied natural gas storage facilities and drilling and exploration activities in the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean.
- Tonight I will talk with Mr. Putin and we will have the opportunity to discuss the issue of Ukraine, Erdogan said.
He also referred to the struggle with interest rates.
– My biggest struggle is with interest, my biggest enemy is interest. We have reduced the interest rate again to 12. This is not enough, it must be reduced even more, Erdogan said and added: We are fighting against inflation, I believe that inflation will decrease with low interest rates after the New Year and I defend such an approach.
