Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan repeated today that his country agrees with Finland's entry into NATO, but not with Sweden, which he told "not to try in vain".
Erdoğan emphasized that he evaluates the process for Finland as positive.
But we do not look favorably on Sweden... As long as you and your security forces allow them to burn and tear up my holy book, we will not agree to your joining NATO, emphasized Erdogan.
Turkey has been blocking the entry of the two Nordic countries into NATO for months, as it requires the consent of all members of the Alliance.
