The Erasmus Plus youth program this year offers special opportunities for high school and college students
The European Commission has decided that 2022 will be the year of the youth. This means that many seminars, events and exhibitions related to young people, this year will be put on a pedestal, said today at the Utrinski briefing, the director of "Erasmus Plus " the program Marko Gjorgjievski.
- On behalf of the National Agency Erasmus Plus I call on all schools and organizations to log on to the European Youth Portal where there are currently over 3.000 events at European level. Youth organizations should be as visible as possible, for which we as a National Agency will help them. The institutions are the ones that should apply, ie schools, higher education institutions and kindergartens, and on the other hand, youth organizations can also apply. In the case of schools, the institution should receive the grant and then conduct a transparent public call, explains Gjorgjievski.
Most of the Erasmus Plus budget program ends up in higher education institutions.
- From 2014 to 2020, over 2.200 students from Macedonia used the Erasmus Plus program, while in 2021 alone, this program was used by about 600 students. This program makes a great contribution to the development of a young person, both professionally and privately. There is an opportunity for cooperation with small partnerships, where our young people need only one partner from the program countries from Europe with whom they will write a project and will be able to apply. Informal groups of five young people can also apply to write a project. The Erasmus program itself has four priorities, they are a green agenda and the fight against climate change, digitalization, inclusion and diversity and youth participation in democratic life, added Gjorgjievski.
