The friendship between the actors Emma Watson и Tom Felton is truly magical. They met a little more than two decades ago, on the set of the Harry Potter film franchise, in which they played the roles of Hermione Granger и Draco Malfoy.

Felton will release his memoir Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard on October 12 this year, and his longtime friend Watson has written a lengthy foreword for the record, Glamor reported.

"You know that person in your life who makes you feel seen?" That person who, in a way, witnesses everything that happens? That person who knows, really knows, what's going on and what you're going through without you having to tell them? To me, that person is Tom Felton," Watson writes in the foreword.

Loyal fans of the Harry Potter film franchise know that Felton was Watson's childhood crush. Although the actress says their friendship "didn't start well", she now considers him her "soulmate".

"I always try to explain the nature of our relationship to people. We've loved each other in a special way for twenty years and I don't even know how many times people have told us 'You must have kissed when you were drunk, at least once', 'You must have kissed', 'There must be something more here'. But what we have is deeper than that. It is one of the purest loves that exists. We are soul mates and have always had each other's backs. I know we will continue to do so in the future," the actress explains, describing her relationship with Felton.

"Sometimes it's hard to live in a world where people are quick to judge you, doubt you and question your intentions. Tom doesn't. I know that even if I did something wrong, he understands that my intention was good. I know that he will always trust me," the preface of the memoir states.

At the end of the preface, Watson says "The world is lucky to have you, but I'm even luckier to have you as a friend."
