A ship exploded in Istanbul, injuring and missing

At least four people were injured in a boat explosion in Istanbul.

According to Turkish media, the explosion took place on a ship in the Turkish shipyard Tuzla. According to the first information, the explosion was caused by gas, reports Hurriyet.

At 10:54 a.m., workers working on the Liberian-flagged Gulf Petrolyum4, which was being held at a shipyard in Aydintepe County, were reported to have been exposed to gas poisoning. Emergency medical, security and firefighting teams were sent to the scene and necessary intervention works were performed. According to the first information received, 5 workers who were exposed to gas poisoning due to carbon dioxide leakage were transferred to one of the pipes to be serviced. "Surrounding hospitals by our Emergency Medical Teams 112. An investigation has been launched into the problem," said a statement from the Istanbul Governor's Office.
