As many as 80 less students started the second semester in Shtip, after their parents requested to withdraw due to going abroad. Along with the fact that in this school year 200 first-graders were enrolled less than the previous one, and in the upper grades and classes there was a significant number of withdrawals, the number of primary and secondary school students in Stip schools has been halved in one year. writes "SDK.mk".

The outflow of students due to going abroad is also confirmed by the Department of Education in the Municipality of Shtip, which for several years in a row receives information from schools that the number of families requesting the withdrawal of students is increasing.

"At the parents' request, transcripts were issued for exactly 81 students from primary and secondary schools. The number of unregistered students from primary schools is higher, as many as 69 students, while 12 students were unregistered from secondary education. According to the knowledge of the directors, there were cases when after a month some families returned and the students were re-enrolled according to the deadline as long as they could be absent. However, that percentage of return is small, from 20-30 percent," said the head of the Department of Education, Snezhana Saneva, for "SDK".

The trend of withdrawals due to going abroad has started to grow since 2018, when 80 fewer students were enrolled. There was a stagnation of this trend only during the covid-19 pandemic, but since this school year, the number of cancellations is growing again.

The situation is similar in the rest of the cities in the region, the most drastic example of which is Kočani, from whose schools 60 students who attended classes in the first semester dropped out in the second semester, writes "SDK.mk".
