One year of strategic partnership between "Alkaloid" and SOS Children's Village

"Children are our future!" Every child has the right to a warm home, care and love! Every child is our concern!” – powerful messages towards the community and strong reasons for synergy, which are fully recognized and respected by both organizations.

In the year when the "Bekutan" brand celebrates its 45th anniversary, the strategic cooperation with SOS Children's Village began - an organization that currently cares for nearly 500 children and young people in the country who are without parental care or are at risk of losing their parents. .

In December 2022, one of the houses of SOS Children's Village, located in the Cento neighborhood, was named "Becutan House", for which the company became a key helper and main supporter, while building sincere relations between the foster family and the employees of "Alkaloid" AD Skopje. Within the jubilee project, the company set aside over 2 million denars intended for the daily smooth functioning of the House and the activities related to the operation of the organization and the caregivers.

"In December of last year, on the eve of our anniversary - 45 years since the existence of the children's brand 'Bekutan' - we started the so-called godfatherism, i.e. e., in cooperation with SOS Children's Village, we take care of five children between the ages of five and thirteen and everything necessary for their living there. During the year, a certain percentage of the sales of our children's collection was set aside and more than 2 million denars were collected, which will be donated to SOS Children's Village. Our cooperation will continue during the coming calendar year", said Zivko Mukaetov, General Director and Chairman of the Management Board of "Alkaloid" AD Skopje.

Juliana Nakova-Gapo, national director of SOS Children's Village, expressing her gratitude for this cooperation and emphasizing the importance of donor aid for the children cared for in this locality, stated: "'Alkaloid' as a strategic partner of SOS Children's Village has been supports our cause for helping children without parental care through the largest Macedonian brand 'Bekutan' and through the sponsorship of a house in SOS Children's Village. The impact of Alkaloid's support goes beyond financial aid – it enables stability and development. We thank the donor for his commitment to our cause."

As part of the partnership, apart from the financial relief of current costs, continuous educational support for the children was additionally provided and contributed to facilitate access to professional counseling and treatments to overcome the developmental challenges of the children in the family.

Within the SOS Children's Village, the first anniversary of this humane cooperation was also celebrated through an exhibition of drawings, drawn specially for the occasion by children from the SOS Children's Village, on the theme "Love is...", where each drawing will be awarded by "Bekutan ", because each of the children is a winner in the mission called love! All the wonderful drawings of the children will be presented in a part of the future campaigns of the "Alkaloid" company related to the "Becutan" children's collection.

SOS Children's Village operates on the principle of donations from individuals, companies, institutions and from various forms of partnerships. Anyone can donate, and the donated funds are used exclusively for the needs of the children in care. The donation link is: https://sos.org.mk/doniraj-33/
