One dead and 11 injured Palestinians in a clash with the Israeli army in the West Bank
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that one Palestinian was killed and 11 injured in the occupied West Bank last night after Israeli forces opened fire.
Nine Palestinians were injured by firearms, and two by inhaling tear gas.
The official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that clashes broke out last night between Israeli forces and residents of the northern city of Hebron.
The Israeli army said soldiers opened fire on Palestinians who fired at the soldiers, threw stones and improvised explosive devices.
Tensions between Israelis and Palestinians have been rising for months over Israeli nighttime attacks in the occupied West Bank after Palestinian militants killed 19 people in attacks on Israeli towns this spring.
