Well, well, we will hug the Serbs, Albanians and Greeks!

I do not care, the Bulgarians spoiled Merkel's happy and long-term political retirement.

Somewhat commonly, Ms Angela Merkel's statement on Brdo near Kranj should be taken as the most plausible interpretation of the EU and the Western Balkans' problem with the Bulgarians: "I hope the problems will be overcome. "As you know, this is not possible in Bulgaria now, because parliamentary and presidential elections will be held soon, so in this context it is now impossible to make quick decisions."

In this statement you have everything: European hope, Bulgarian domestic vicissitudes, the impossibility of resolving the dispute.

That is it. After "conquering" the whole other EU, with the Bulgarians, despite the general European hopes, there will be no "quick decisions". It will be difficult to make slow decisions, because even before Merkel came out of the door of the Brdo hall, where she and Macron and others tried to convince Radev that his country was pursuing an irrational policy towards its western neighbor, the Bulgarian president delivered such demands to Macedonia. , for their fulfillment we should return the wheel of history to at least seventy years ago, plus to hire one hundred thousand "original" Bulgarians, who would be listed here as Macedonians. Because, those to whom the Bulgarians gave passports, as things stand, do not want to be registered as Bulgarians. Shame on them.

At the same time, Macedonian President Pendarovski sent greetings from Athens at the end of his two-day official visit, assessing that "bilateral relations between Northern Macedonia and Greece are entering a normal course." I guess this will also be a provocation for Sofia, because the political elite there is still in shock from the Prespa Agreement.

When they signed the Agreement on Good Neighborliness Cooperation with us, the Bulgarians thought that a solution would never be reached between Skopje and Athens, so that the Greeks would continue to be the main culprits for the Euro-Atlantic blockade of us and the Western Balkans, and that in Sofia Industrial "stamping" of passports for Macedonians continued, so when that number reaches one million local citizens, it will only be a technical matter when the Bulgarian flags are taken out of the local flagpoles and we will probably resume talks on dividing the country with our fellow citizens, ethnic Albanians. An old, in fact the oldest Balkan nationalist story.

But since with the Prespa Agreement the Macedonian integration story with the entry into NATO was "unlocked", and the Agreement with Bulgaria - decent, civilized, in the best interest of both neighbors - was already signed, the Bulgarians, neck-to-nose, rushed to they veto us for starting negotiations with the Union.

I do not care, they ruined Merkel's happy and long-term departure into political retirement.

In the past year and a half, the relations between today's Republic of Northern Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria are probably the worst (minus the security, former block component) since the times of the Second World War. Macedonians will continue, in large quantities (albeit a little less in neighboring Bulgaria!) To listen to and watch the dazzling kitsch of Serbian folk stars and admire Vuќi како as an autocrat skillfully holding power in Belgrade; and they will continue to walk en masse on the Greek beaches and, in increasing numbers, on the beautiful Albanian coast… Life will continue, as well as "hugging" with all our neighbors, minus the Bulgarians.

Can anyone explain how this is in the interest of the short-term, medium-term and long-term interests of Bulgaria, given this's death-goat-of-the-neighbor-policy towards Macedonia… ?! A real Balkan mystery.
