The popular American magazine "People" chooses the "Sexiest Man of the Year" every year, and has been awarding this title to handsome celebrities since 1985.

This year, this recognition went to the actor John Krasinski, who conquered the world public with his charismatic role in the sitcom "The Office".

But source for the Daily Mail reveals that Krasinski was not the editor's first choice. Allegedly, they “begged them Glenn Powell и Pedro Pascal to accept the title, but they repeatedly refused."

"Every year, the magazine has their preferences as to who should win that title, but the person they love sometimes doesn't agree to be part of that selection. Do you really think it was their wish to name Patrick Dempsey the Sexiest Man Alive last year?", said the source, reports "Daily Mail".

"John is a great guy but he was by no means their first choice. This year, the magazine contacted Glenn Powell and Pedro Pascal on several occasions to accept the title, but both declined. They had their reasons for refusing," the source added.

The source clarified that "at this moment none of them cared".

"Glen wants to make a bigger impact in the acting world now that he's finally getting good roles and becoming a bigger star." On the other hand, this is not something that Pedro wants. Although he is flattered to receive such a title, according to him, this is just a marketing ploy," explained the source.
