"Jim Politis Quartet" from Greece will perform at "Skopsko Leto"

The "Jim Politis Quartet" concert will be held on July 6, starting at 21:XNUMX p.m., on the plateau of "East Gate Mall".

Jim Politis was born in Athens, Greece. He is a composer, guitar instructor and session guitarist with a musical background that combines many different musical genres, such as fusion, bebop, gypsy jazz, Balkan metal, rock, blues, funk, soul guitar. It represents a modern approach to acoustic jazz music. He studied composition, improvisation, music theory, drum and percussion training at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory (1999-2002).

George Paciotis (guitar) graduated from the Department of Music Sciences of the University of "Macedonia" in Thessaloniki and received a Master's degree in Jazz Music (University of Athens). Furthermore, he has two degrees in classical and electric guitar and has attended master lectures with various classical and jazz soloists. In the last two decades he has been working as a guitarist and music teacher. He participated in numerous projects, countless concerts and recordings.

Kostas Arsenis (double bass) was born in Larissa, where he had his first courses in music theory, classical guitar and electric bass. He studied double bass at the Athens Conservatory with prof. Anastasios Kazaglis and electric bass at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory in Athens with Iotis Kiurtsoglu. Furthermore, he studied classical guitar at the Department of Music Interpretation at the "George Enescu" University of Music in Bucharest and musicology at the Kapodistrian University in Athens.

Sergio Hrisovitzanos is one of the most active violinists and multi-instrumentalists in Greece with a great presence on the stage and in the discography. He studied violin and music theory and has been teaching and participating in various musical projects for over 25 years, playing violin, guitar, mandolin or ukulele.
